Hello…
I’m Rosy. I am a qualified, BACP-registered counsellor, experienced in supporting individuals with a wide range of issues. I practice in Hampshire, offering online and face-to-face sessions from the beautiful village of Exton in the Meon valley.
My job is to provide a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment in which to help you explore whatever aspects of your life you may wish to better understand or change.
I am a firm believer that counselling can be life-enhancing and, in some instances, life-changing; offering up new perspectives and a self-awareness that can empower you to take control of your life, better understand your difficulties and make positive changes.
Working with me…
Counselling is a collaborative process, and as such, the relationship between counsellor and client is fundamental to success. For me, building relationships based on mutual respect, empathy and trust is central to the work that I do. I like to think that we go on a journey of exploration and discovery together; I will help navigate, shine a light on the way ahead and assist you in finding the tools for change along the way.
It’s important that you feel at ease and are able to talk openly and honestly which is why I offer an initial 15-minute phonecall, free of charge, to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
My personal approach…
My training is in Humanistic counselling using Transactional Analysis (TA) but my approach is integrative and individual to each client. In simple terms, Transactional Analysis focuses on how we interact with others as well as how we see see ourselves, others, our world and the world around us. There is a strong emphasis on how every individual is valuable and has the capacity for positive change and personal growth, something I believe passionately in. As a collaborative process, together we can reflect on how you think, feel and behave and begin to identify and address the obstacles that might be preventing you from overcoming difficulties or achieving your full potential.
My qualifications & experience…
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As such, I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also hold full Professional Liability Insurance and a clear enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
My qualifications are listed, and I make a regular commitment to on-going professional development and clinical supervision as there is always something new to learn in this field of work.
Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis Levels 4&5 (BACP Accredited)
EATA Certificate in Transactional Analysis 101
ABC Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills
ABC Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
I have previously offered counselling services at Eastleigh Youth Counselling Services, Solent University, Andover Crisis and Support Centre, Mindspace Foundation and Marlborough College.
